Characteristics of Water Treatment for Medium- and Low-Pressure Boilers
1. The most fundamental boiler water treatment method employs the batch dosing approach, supplemented by chemical treatment of makeup water from tanks. Residual hardness may persist even after boiler and external treatment, necessitating the addition of water treatment chemicals to prevent boiler corrosion and scaling.
2. Boiler water treatment cannot entirely prevent boiler scaling, particularly when contaminants in feedwater are not promptly removed, making scaling more likely.
3. The dosing method causes no environmental pollution during operation. Unlike ion exchange water treatment, which removes natural impurities but generates significant waste products and regenerant discharge, dosing converts primary water impurities into insoluble sludge that does not pollute the environment.
4. The dosing method employs a pure formulation tailored to feedwater quality and is generally unsuitable for high water hardness.
5. Boiler water treatment requires no complex equipment, features low costs, minimal investment, and convenient operation.
